This Easter season we will explore how the risen Christ empowers our own spiritual lives as his disciples.  The Gospel of John and the First Letter of John will be our primary texts.  The seven-Sunday season is split into two parts.  The first half of the season will recall stories of Jesus' resurrection appearances.  The second half of the season will remind us of the teachings Jesus gave immediately before his death and resurrection.  In the middle of the season, on Good Shepherd Sunday, we are reminded that Jesus gives his life to us because of his incredible love for us.  On the final Sunday of the season, we celebrate that Jesus rose not only from the grave, but from the earth into heaven.
