Sunday morning worship at 11AM
Sunday School for all Ages at 10AM
COVID safety?
Our Sanctuary is open for public worship. Mask-wearing is welcome, but not required. Some of the features of daily ministry and worship described below are modified for safety reasons.
When should I show up?
Come early to enjoy a cup of coffee and refreshments in our Gathering Area right outside the sanctuary. We believe that enjoying each other's company is an important preamble to worship and promotes spiritual community.
You will be greeted at the door by an usher who will hand you a bulletin. The bulletin outlines what happens in the worship service and also lets you know what’s going on during the week at Faith.
What is the worship service like?
Our worship is a mix of traditional and contemporary elements that work together to focus us on God. We gather before God in music and prayer. We hear the Word of God in Scripture and sermon. We respond to God by celebrating the sacraments and committing to work for good in our community.
Sermons are based on the Revised Common Lectionary, which means that the pastor preaches from all portions of the Scriptures -- Old and New Testament -- in an orderly way. This kind of preaching ensures that the congregation gets to hear the "whole counsel of God" and benefits from the cumulative impact of connected messages.
Our choir promotes worship for all by experimenting with various genres. Children, soloists, and guest performers are frequent contributors to our musical worship.
Children are always welcome in the sanctuary. Church is a family; everyone belongs.
Do you offer Sunday School Classes (Christian Education)?
Yes. Typically, we have several Sunday morning options at 10AM. Classes are offered Fall, Winter, and Spring, but are on hiatus in the Summer.
How should I dress for worship?
You will see a spectrum of attire at Faith Church. However you choose to dress, we hope that your attire will reflect your intention to worship God and encourage others to do the same.
Is there anything special for young children during the worship service?
Early on during the worship service, children are invited up front for a “Time With Young Disciples”. This brief time with the pastor includes a lesson and prayer.
Young children staying through the service are welcome to borrow an ‘activity bag’ to use during worship. The bags are located on the Missions table in the Gathering Area to the right of the Nursery.
Is there childcare during the service?
Yes. We have a nursery room for children through kindergarten. It is right outside the sanctuary and is staffed by a professional childcare worker.
How accessible is the church?
There are several handicapped parking spaces in both the upper and lower parking areas. Both levels of our building can be entered without climbing stairs. There is an elevator inside the church.
Windows on either side of the sanctuary provide natural lighting. Hearing aids are provided upon request.
Where should I park?
We have two paved lots: one in front of the church building and one behind the building. Both lots have handicapped parking with easy access to the building.
What is the building lay-out like?
Our building is clean and modern. The sanctuary and a large, open “Gathering Area” (where we offer coffee hour prior to the worship service) are on the upper level. Restrooms and the nursery are also on this level and they are clearly marked.
Our lower level is accessed from the lower parking lot. Right inside the back doors, you can either take the stairs up to the sanctuary or use the elevator (through double doors and to the left). The lower level houses a large social hall, the pastor’s study, staff offices, kitchen and restrooms.
