The Deacons of Faith Church

The Deacons of Faith U.P. Church are a team of 12 members elected by the congregation and ordained in following the ministry of Jesus Christ. We are also those who have a passion for nurturing members and families of our
congregation by keeping our folks connected in Christ. Deacons provide an organized way of bringing the love of Jesus Christ to the church and the community. Some of the ways we do this is:

  • Sending out cards to our members for Birthdays, Get Well, Sympathy, and specific Holiday Greetings.
  • A “Valentines for Widows and Widowers” ministry in which we send valentines to these. We involve the youth and Sunday School teachers to make the cards.
  • Maintain a “Hope Bag” Ministry for released prisoners from the county jail.
  • Perform community outreach by leading off-site worship services at our local care facilities for residents.
Also, coordinating a Christmas Caroling Event at a local mall.
  • Visits and calls to our homebound members, care facilities, hospitals, and funeral homes.
  • Respond to the “Prayers For Concern” lifted up each week by our members at worship.
  • Provide support in sympathy to members who have experienced a loss.
  • Connect with our church members to help keep them involved in the life of the church.
