Who's Your Deacon

The Deacons of Faith Church

The Deacons of Faith U.P. Church are a team of 12 members elected by the congregation and ordained in following the ministry of Jesus Christ. We are also those who have a passion for nurturing members and families of our
congregation by keeping our folks connected in Christ. Deacons provide an organized way of bringing the love of Jesus Christ to the church and the community. Some of the ways we do this is:

  • Connecting with our members through cards offered for Birthdays, Get Well, Sympathy, and specific Holiday greetings.
  • Connecting with our members by providing meals with the “Meal Train” which is set up for those in need.
  • Connecting with the Widows and Widowers of the church by creating Valentine cards for them. The youth and Sunday School Teachers are an important part of this card ministry.
  • Connect with the inmates of the County Prison through the prison Chaplain. We help to put cards together for them so the inmates can send cards on Mother’s and Father’s Day.
  • Connect with community, by offering worship services for the residents of our local care facilities. Also, provide some Christmas Caroling involving our Faith Choir.
  • Connect with our members that are homebound, in care facilities, or hospitals. We accomplish this by calls and visits. We also provide support and sympathy for our members who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
  • Connect with our members by responding to them through their “Prayers for Concern” that they lift up weekly.
  • Connect with our Faith Church Family to help keep them involved in the life of the church.
